🔐 What is Ledger Live Login?


Ledger Live doesn’t rely on usernames and passwords—it uses your hardware wallet (Nano S/X) plus a PIN as the “login”. That means your private keys never leave the device, offering top-tier security.


How to Log In


  1. Download the official app from Ledger.com and install it on your desktop or phone. 

  2. Connect your device via USB or (with Nano X) Bluetooth.

  3. Enter your PIN on the device itself—you’ll be prompted automatically.

  4. Verify login by physically approving access on the device. Once done, your portfolio and dashboard appear.


Logging Out (or Locking the App)


Ledger Live doesn’t include a traditional “Log Out” button. To exit:

  • Simply close or quit the app (via the menu or window controls). 

  • If you want an extra lock, go to Settings → General → Password Lock, enable it, and set a password. This locks the interface until you reopen and re-enter the password. 

  • Or, to clear all sensitive data, select Settings → Help → Reset Ledger Live—this wipes local history and simulates a logout.
